Might I just say how FUCKING HARD it is to create a fictional universe? Totally fun, though.
So with that, I'm filling one of these OC Meme-things for my OC(how appropriate, yes.). Not that I expect anyone to read this, but it will help me out, so here I go!
(Also, I will eventually upload some sort of drawing of this new world so you can understand the geography. Promise.)
[95 Questions You Should Be Able to Answer About Your Character]

Character: Rava Jennings
BASICS
1. What is your full name? Do you have a nickname?
Rava Eleanor Jennings. The Third. *laughs* No, I'm not the third of anything, really. I just like to see who falls for that. Everyone just calls me Rava.
2. How old are you? When is your birthday?
My birthday is January 27th, so I'll be turning 24 shortly.
3. Where were you born? Where do you live now? Are you patriotic?
Well, I was born in Iocasta, which is really just a suburb city of Mayhew, Fairfax's capital. Right now, I'm staying in Alanca. It's not quite as big as Mayhew, but still pretty damn big.
4. Who are/were your parents?
My mother died when I was born, so I don't remember her all that much. Dad said she gave me my "gypsy blood"--I think that's a crock of shit, but I definitely look like her. I've seen pictures. Dad's name was Isaiah; he was a good dad, but he disappeared when I was about twelve. *pause* Maybe I get my "gypsy blood" from him, actually. *chuckles*
5. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
Nope, no siblings for me. The world can't handle many more of me. *grins*
6. What is your occupation?
Right now, I just perform little magic shows in the streets. It brings more money than you'd think, and I don't even really need all that much to get by.
7. How tall are you? How much do you weigh?
Umm... Last time I measured myself, I was 5'4". But that was when I was sixteen, so I'm hoping to at least have hit 5'6" by now. As for my weight--well, a woman never divulges that information, do they?
Yeah, I think that's pointless too. I'm about 125 lbs--running around the city day-in and day-out will do that to you.
8. What color is your hair? What color are your eyes?
I have brown hair about to my shoulders, and green eyes. I think the green eyes come from my dad's side of the family.
9. What is your race?
Human, of course. But I'm also a Sage--but there's no need to go around spreading that information, alright? I like my life with its current amount of insanity, no need for more.
10. To which social class do you belong?
Oh, about middle-class, I'd say.
11. Do you consider yourself to be attractive? Do others?
Do I consider myself attractive? What, am I going to start dating myself? *laughs* Well, I will say this: I've had more than my fair share of men. And we'll leave it at that. *smile*
12. What is your style of dress?
"Practical." That's what I think. Yet practical for me seems to be a little... strange, to most others.
13. Do you have any scars? Tattoos? Birthmarks? Other unique physical features?
I have one small scar on the bottom of my left foot from when I stepped on some broken glass. That was... When was that? I think it's been about eleven years since I got that scar.
14. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
None that I'm aware of, thankfully.
15. Are you right- or left-handed?
Right-handed by nature, left-handed by practice. *smile*
16. What does your voice sound like?
After speaking to you this long already, you don't know? *laughs*
17. What kind of vocabulary do you use?
Depends on the situation. Right now I'm being rather eloquent(by my own standards), but I tend to just be very blunt.
18. List three quirks or other defining characteristics.
I will often approach random people I have seen once before and talk with them until they're quite thoroughly confused. It's quite fun. I enjoy traveling--I mean traveling. I plan to go everywhere.
I suppose my mood will shift for no apparent reason.
19. How often do you bathe? Do you wear perfumes?
At least once a day. Just because I practically live on the streets doesn't mean I need to be a filthy slob.
20. What kind of facial expression do you commonly wear (dour glare, wry smile, etc..)
I try to keep a smile on my face.
21. Do you use body language? How?
Everyone uses body language! But I generally will exaggerate my motions to create a comedic effect when I'm presenting a show. It loosens their wallets, so to speak.
22. Do you have a commonly used saying?
No... no, I suppose I don't. I try not to be predictable.
CHILDHOOD
23. What is your earliest memory?
Dad was watching TV when I showed him a picture I had drawn of us. He got up to hang it on the fridge door... I was about three, I think.
24. How much schooling have you had? Did you enjoy it?
I made it through 6th grade going to a public school, but after Dad disappeared, my foster parents put me in private school. I GED'd out of high school when I was a junior, and got as far from that house as I could. My foster father was a bit of an ass.
25. Where did you learn most of your knowledge and skill?
Observance, past experience... Book-smarts are all well and good, but they don't serve me much purpose on the streets.
26. How would you describe your childhood in general?
It was fine until Dad disappeared... He was surprised when he realized I had magical powers, but let me practice. Just not on him *laughs*. But while my foster mother let me keep practicing, my foster father would punish me for "showing off." "Nobody in this house needs any fancy powers to succeed, and that means you too!" he liked to say.
27. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I don't know, actually. I never really had any ambition as a child... I think I might have just wanted to still be a child when I grew up.
28. When and with whom was your first kiss?
Can I remember that far back? *grin* Well, let's see... Ah yes! It was with Peter, in fourth grade, on a dare.
29. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
*grins*
30. Do you have a notorious or celebrated ancestor? Does that affect you?
Well, apparently my maternal great-grandfather was a drug dealer. That was... interesting to hear.
INFLUENCES
31. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Meeting Genea, definitely. She was also a Sage, and a dear friend of mine.
32. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
It seems a little early in my life to be answering that question. I haven't really done much yet. Maybe when I'm older, I can answer this.
33. What is your greatest regret?
I try to go through my life without regrets. It makes things much easier. *smile*
34. What is the most embarrassing or shameful thing ever to happen to you?
Ahaha... Well, let's not talk about the time my foster father walked in on my first boyfriend and me.
35. Do you have any secrets? If so, what are they?
Now, why would I tell you my secrets? They wouldn't be secrets anymore, would they?
36. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Evil? Moi? I'm a saint. *grin*
37. When was the time you were the most frightened?
Hm... When Dad vanished. I don't know where he went... That was the worst couple days of my life.
38. Have you ever traveled outside of your country? If so, to where?
Oh, of course! I've been to Halifax and Sycorax, the Orion Islands, Romani... I'm not done yet, either. I plan to see everything I can.
BELIEFS
39. What is your alignment?
About thirteen degrees to the left. *smile*
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
Oh, I'm pretty optimistic. I haven't really got the time to be pessimistic.
41. Do you believe in a god? If so, which one and why?
No... No, I don't, actually. It just doesn't make sense to me, there being a god.
42. Do you believe in an afterlife?
Of course I do. I've been there. It's called the DMV. You're there so long you think you've died. *chuckles*
43. What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear. Hmm... Well, I suppose that it's that someday, I won't remember any of the things that I've done. Just... forgetting. That frightens me somewhat.
44. What makes you angry? Sad? Happy? Why?
What makes me angry? Well... people being mean, actually. You know, stuff like ignoring the needy, hurting people without a reason. It just gets under my skin; why aren't we better than that, huh?
But it doesn't take much to make me happy. Just seeing people do the right thing puts me in a good mood, and I see that a lot. One of the perks of always being out and about.
45. Do you think people are basically good or basically evil?
Some people are just good, some people are just evil. On the whole, though, I think that most people are somewhere in the gray space between good and bad.
46. What are your views on politics?
Does anyone ever like politicians? *laughs* I'm actually serious on that one, too!
47. What are your views on gambling, lying, theft, and killing?
Parlor tricks--the ones I use in my shows, what I do for a living--is all about deception. But it's not intended to hurt anyone. That's sort of how I go about; just as long as nobody is hurt, it's okay. But it's knowing whether or not something will hurt someone, or yourself.
48. How far will you go to defend your beliefs?
As far as I have to go.
49. How much do you value money?
Money is important only for the necessities. After that, it doesn't mean much of anything to me.
50. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
I thought I made myself clear earlier, didn't I? But that's alright, I'll say it again: Actively engaging in causing others to suffer.
51. Do you believe in self-sacrifice for the greater good?
Absolutely.
52. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
You know, I used to believe in stuff like that. Now, not so much... But who knows? I may believe in it again at some point.
53. Are you superstitious?
Me? Superstitious? *laughs* People make up superstitions about me.
54. How much do you respect the beliefs and opinions of others?
Everyone is allowed to believe what they want. They have some reason for believing what they do, so who am I to tell them that their opinions are wrong?
55. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings?
Very, to the point of unnerving.
56. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
Well... This is a bit embarrassing, and maybe a little hypocritical of me, but I have a bit of a grudge against the stuffy, business-y type of people. You know, the kind that generally looks down on people who don't make six figures a year? Yeah, them.
DEALING WITH OTHERS
57. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
Not to sound conceited, but I'm the most important person in my life right now. Now, if there were someone else actually in my life, it would be them, but I'm trying to go solo for now.
58. Who is the person you respect the most? Despise the most? Why?
(Oh god, now we get cheesy...) I respect the people who are able to just get by without stooping to a lower moral plane. *laughs* Sorry for making it sound like I just made it up now, but it's true!
59. Do you have a significant other? Who? Why?
No, not at this time. After all the hearts I've broken, I think it's time to give the general populace a break. *chuckles*
60. Do you have a lot of friends? Who is your best friend?
I don't know if I'd say I have a lot of friends, but I can have conversations with just about anyone I see. There are a few people that look for me to just talk, so I suppose they're the closest to what I could call "friends."
61. How do you relate to members of the same race? Class? Sex?
Hey, how many times to I have to say it? I get along with just about everyone.
62. How do you relate to members of a different race? Class? Sex?
*sigh*
63. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
I don't know if I've every actually been in love--the whole "He is the world to me!" kind of love, I mean. I've definitely been in quite a few relationships, though.
64. What do you look for in a potential lover?
Someone who will finally figure out that I'm not going to change who I am just to conform to their image of an "ideal" woman. You'd think they'd figure it out by now...
65. How close are you to your family?
Not very. I mean, my foster mother was nice enough, but my foster father was restrictive, and expected me to act like a "lady." *chuckles* We can see how well that worked out.
66. Do you want a marriage, family, and/or children?
I don't think I'd mind much. But not at this point in my life!
67. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
A good argument is always fun! But I'm not always looking to get into a heated debate.
68. Are you a listener or a talker?
I'm a bit of both. I can go on and on forever, but I know how to shut up and pay attention.
69. How long does it usually take for you to trust others?
Not very... I can get a pretty good feel for other people. It comes in quite handy.
70. Do you hold grudges?
I really try not to. It takes too much energy.
71. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
If I have to, then that's fine. I'm usually quite content with just being a follower, as long as there's a good leader in place.
72. Do you like interacting with large groups of people?
It's a bit harder for me to keep track of all that's going on in a group, but I like having the multiple discussions. It's fun!
73. How well do you express yourself?
*grins* Quite well, I should think.
74. How quickly do you judge others?
I don't judge anyone until I've seen the way they act or how they talk. Appearances mean nothing; it's how they communicate that shows who they are.
75. Do you care what others think of you?
No, not particularly.
76. Do you have any enemies? How or why are they your enemy?
Now, why would I have any enemies? I'm just a street performer, making my way without hurting anyone. *smile*
PERSONAL TASTE AND OPINIONS
77. What is your favorite pastime? Color? Food? Possession?
Well, I love to travel, as I mentioned before. I don't really have a favorite possession, but if I did, it owuld be red--my favorite color. I have a soft spot for good seafood, which is hard to come by sometimes, since Alanca is pretty far inland.
78. What are your preferences in arts and/or entertainment?
I am my own entertainment. *smiles* But when I get a chance, I like going to musicals. Everything is better with a little song and dance.
79. Do you smoke, drink, go whoring, or use drugs? Why or why not?
Wow, direct, aren't we? *laugh* No, I don't do any of that. You'd think I would be more... adventurous, but I'm actually quite tame in terms of that kind of stuff.
80. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Catch up on sleep, wander around the city... Something fun.
81. What is your most cherished fantasy?
Getting to see my father at least one more time.
82. How long is your attention span?
I'm quite focused, thank you. *chuckle*
83. Do you laugh a lot? What do you find funny?
Of course I laugh a lot. It goes hand-in-hand with "living with a smile". It helps that I'm easily amused by just about anything.
84. Is there anything that shocks or offends you? If so, what?
I've answered this already, haven't I? Yes, I did, when I said what made me angry.
85. How do you deal with stress?
Breathe in, breathe out, fix the situation, move on.
86. How much athletic ability do you have? Artistic?
I'm pretty well coordinated, I think. And I like running, so I'm fairly good at that. As for artistic abilities, well... Let's just say stick figures are museum quality compared to my work. *laughs*
87. Do you like animals? Do you like children?
Small children are animals, aren't they? I suppose it's a good thing that I like both.
88. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
I will spontaneously create plans if the situation calls for one, but generally just charge straight ahead.
89. Do you have a pet? If so, what is his/her name? Species? Fur color? Etc..
When I lived with my foster family, I had a purple pet salamander that hatched in the fireplace. It was adorable. I named her Robert, just to be contrary.
SELF-IMAGE
90. What is your greatest strength as a person? Weakness?
I would say that my greatest strength is that I can get a pretty good idea of other people's motivations, but with that goes my weakness: I have a difficult time actually getting and staying close to people. I mean, I like being alone, but--well, it's a bit lonely sometimes, you know?
91. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
One thing... Hmm... Well, I wouldn't mind being a few inches taller. It's a bit annoying, having everyone literally look down on me. *smile*
92. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
I'm quite extroverted.
93. Do you like yourself?
Actually, I do. I quite like being me.
94. Do you have a daily routine? How do you feel if your day is interrupted?
My day is interruptions. That's how I make my money; by interrupting what people are doing and distracting them.
95. What goal do you most want to accomplish in the next six months? Your lifetime?
Well, I would like to go visit Tabun sometime--the "mother continent," so to speak. Most of my family descends from the country Kylomea, so I think it'd be nice to see what "home" is like.
GAAAAAAAAAH THAT TOOK SO LONG. But it was worth it.
